The Wisteria is 3/4 ready and starting it's
generous proprietary bouquet of scents

the pond is open and the sound of the waterfall
puts your entire body
at peace
and I can't wait to be amongst it all....
to relish in how wonderful the scents and sounds...
and even to celebrate that we made it
thru another month-end

Let's acknowledge that Mother Nature knows what she's doing.
So recognized.

But at this time of year - end of April budding and
beginning of May blossoms
the wisteria on/entwined in the pergola
covering my patio
NEEDS SUN.

first...the buds will come - the plant has stored enough
energy...so..the buds:

but the buds will only grow and open,
with the help of the sun,
of course

this display is magnificent - usually by May Day

but only if Mother Nature steps in with a little

ssssuuuuuunnnnn, pleeeease??????

Well.
If she does gift us with a little sun to finish this job,
I'll post. But about the scent:
You'll have to come to my backyard.
It is a wonderment to your senses, your brain...and
you don't want it to ever go away.

it would be their top seller for Mother's Day.

I spend some time outside.

Not racing to take the dogs to camp

Just be outside
touch a tree
pick up debris
smell clean air

Laughed till I peed:
Friend Kim would tell you her story best
but all of us have done something like this....

Off for her newly committed resolution to walk,
she decided on taking
NOT the Walkman (youngsters, just ignore), she opted
for her new iPod.
She walked and walked listening to her favorite music.
Upon returning and approaching her home
her two sons were outside...still quite a few steps away from
her lot, they begin screaming at her:
"Mom, turn the volume down; Mom.....MOM......".

Turns out, if you don"t push the earphone jack
ALL THE WAY INTO
the iPod,
you can't hear the music as well, you keep up-ing the volume,
and maybe that's why all the neighbors gave a
quirky smile and waved
as you entertained your entire subdivision.

Oh, Lordy...I'm laughing all over again
because I can so relate.

Last year our company changed it's 'plan' with our insurance carrier -
so this year, what matters to the carrier is
Blood Pressure and Cholesterol and...um...
b-b-b-body mass index.
(looove the new term for 'YOU'RE FAT, LADY')

I checked out what the insurance carrier demands of the doctor
and the recommendations... . . . here's where the DR. will
instruct me to do/go/buy:

American Cycle and Fitness
Dunham's Sports
Plum Market
Weight Watchers
(I have had an affair with these folks for years)
Power House Gym
Curves
Moosejaw (wtf)
Nino Salvaggio Market
Reebok
...and...
packages for Yoga
coupons for groceries
and discounts to golf and ski resorts.

And THEN....
I get to go back to the DR every three months
for a year to prove I am 'invested' in the program...
and so that they won't raise my co-pay...
because fat people pay a higher premium
like the new Health Care Reform...
(ok we won't go there right now)

Thinking positive. I'm happy about this. This is good for me.
